Hi Nancy. It has been such a long time - and yet so brief a time - since Selma passed. That period is a blur, and in fact the days now are still blurry. But I know that I didn't take the opportunity to write you back, to thank you for your kind and genuine words on this guest register. I remember you vividly when you visited here shortly before she died, your obviously deeply felt caring so clear. I guess that lives go on, and into other places, as always; but it seems wrong not to have some time with you, now and then. If not, that's okay. Just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts, and that particular day, in my heart. If you'd like to get together for lunch, or tea or coffee, just let me know. I would enjoy that. Patsy and Laurence, I have been looking at the guest register from Selma's service. I never responded to any of the people who shared their kind thoughts. Besides wanting to thank you--you know how much that means to me--I am using you as a dry run, to see if and how it will reach you. Thanks for being kind and loving friends to Selma, and to me.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Selma's passing. She was such a kind and talented lady. I have numerous pieces of her pottery & will remember her kind spirit each time I use them. She will be truly missed.My sympathy to you Peter and the rest of your family.

A beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit is how I have always seen Selma. With the gift of kindness Selma opened the door for me to step into her world at the Matthews Farmers Market. With her talents she showed me the beauty in her work, which I fell in love with and have in all over my home.My sympathy to the family with hope that you (as I will) always remember Selma for the beautiful woman she is inside and out. So very sorry about this sad news. My sincere condolences to Selma's family. I worked with Polly for many years at CPCC and would see Selma every now and then, during those years.
