Sarah “Sissy” Gathings Morton, 79 of New London, passed away December 20, 2023 at the McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, NC. The Funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Kendall’s Baptist Church with Rev Read Obituary
Sis married my first cousin. Fred's father, who was killed in the war, was my mother's brother. My grandmother lived with us and Fred would come stay a week with us in the summers. We all loved Sis right from the start. My mother's health hasn't been well for the last year and we had no idea Sis was declining. Our condolences to all her family.
