Sam was my veterinarian for over 30 years, and over time, I was fortunate to become his friend. He always took the time to ask about my family and was there for us through so much. He showed such kindness and compassion when I had to say goodbye to my pets. He was also so proud of his sons. You will be deeply missed.
Dr. Griffin will be missed so much. My heart is broken and I wish all peace and comfort to his family and friends. Thank you Dr Griffin for all the help and understanding you provided for me and my animals. You saved so many of them and I am forever grateful.

Dr Sam took care of all my fur babies since the 70's. Barney a Daschund was my first as an adult pet, Sam tended him for 15 years and I have had 3 more Daschunds, a Basset Hound and 4 more mutts over the past 40 plus years. Sam and his staff always professional and kind to my pets. Dr Sam will be missed, I can only imagine the greeting he will have on the other side ❤️

I was very sad to hear of Dr. Griffins passing. He has been my vet for over 30 years. I first met him many many years ago being involved in a veterinary school program. He was always so supportive and involved in local youth activities. I thought the world of him. He was so unbelievably kind to all of our animals over the years and still showed so much compassion for working with animals. He was such an important part of the community. He will be so missed.

I hate to hear this. Sam and I got to be good friends when we were both members of CrossFit Albemarle. We hadn't gotten to hang out as much recently, but when we did run into each other, there was always a bro hug, a smile, and laughs while we caught up. I'm going to miss that. Condolences to his family.
During Elementary School we were on opposite basketball teams. Sam took the opening tip and scored on our basket. We probably only scored 6-8 points a game so we appreciated it.
We were saddened to learn of Dr. Griffins passing. We thought the world of him He was so unbelievably kind to our Stella during her hard times and his compassion for animals was far greater than any other Vet we've ever known. He will be missed. Prayers for both his personal and professional families. 🙏🏼

We are so sorry...he was always great with our dogs...
