Roy Kenneth Talbert, 87, of Albemarle passed away January 26, 2017 in Stanly Manor.? His funeral service will be at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Congregational Christian Church with Rev. John Giddens officiating.? Buri Read Obituary
We just learned today of Mr. Roy's passing and so sorry to hear.. I was his and Ms. Polly's Pastor for almost eight years. They were a blessing to know. Mr Roy was always encouraging I am sure he will be missed by all. Our prayers are for you all and Ms. Polly at this time and in the days ahead. Thank God for the memories you have!
Will sure miss seeing Roy. He was our mail carrier on W park Ave and the first thing you always saw, as he came round Jackson st was his lovely head of hair. He always called me Sweet Tater because I got mail by that nick name a few times as a teen ager. He never forgot it and we always laughed about it through the years. He had a wonderful attitude and was always up for a chat when we ran into him. Tony and I will miss him and think of him fondly, always. Our prayers for strength for his family. What a blessing to have a dad,, grandfather and so much more, it must be.
Thank you to each and everyone of you that took time to write a memory or a comment for my Dad. We will miss him dearly and I will always have him with me in spirt.
