Robert Roger Russell's Obituary
Robert Roger Russell, 76, of Stanfield passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 in his home surrounded by loved ones. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in the Big Lick Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Springer officiating.
Born August 6, 1945 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the late Lloyd C. Russell and Zora Belle Carver Russell. He was a member of Big Lick Baptist Church and worked for over 40 years as a truck driver. He loved hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was a 6 year veteran of the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce T. Russell. Survivors include sister Blinda Carline Cornett of Stanfield, brothers Jimmy Brown Russell of Locust and Kenneth Wayne Russell of Locust, and 16 neices and nephews.
