Rev. James Lincoln Potts, 76, of New London passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 in his home.? His funeral service will be 2 PM Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. ?Tom Cheshire, Pastor Ray Hal Read Obituary
Linda, We are so sorry to hear about James. I didn't know until all was done. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and James was a wonderful man of God and he will surely be missed.

Our prayers and love are with the family of pastor James Potts as you all have lost a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend as he was loved by so many people and he touched so many lives in his fifty seven years here on earth. I beleave if he could talk to his family now he would say to you all please don't shed no tears for me because I am home with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ now and will see you all soon. Preach James was a good man and we loved him and his family very much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and congregation of Homeland Baptist Church. We thank God for allowing us to know such a wonderful Man of God and his family. He will be missed so much, but one day we will join him at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
The Lord allowed me to spend some time with him and now I know why. I'm so great full for that blessing. I will continue to pray for the family. May God bless and take care of you.
Linda-Donna, so sorry to hear about the passing of James, May the Loard bless and keep you in his peace. Remember my first meeting with Jim in 1975, whereas, he helped me set up my first compound bow in your basement .
