Rest well Phyllis, you deserve it. You will always be fondly remembered by Mike, me, and the kids.
It was a blessing to us to have Phyllis become part of our lives when we moved to Uwharrie Point. She was kind and appreciative of any consideration. We will miss you, Dear One. Keeping you in prayer
Linda.
Mom and I always enjoyed our time spent with Phyllis. She was always such a 'proper lady'. Never a hair out of place and her make-up always to perfection! She and my Mom were ''2 classy ladies'' together! She will certainly be missed by all that knew her.
Linda, you will continue to be a dear friend and I'm here for you anytime, day or night. Love and prayers. Becki

We will miss our dear neighbor. We always will remember the good times and laughter we shared.
I have known and enjoyed time spent with Phyllis for many years as friends in Uwharrie Point. To all, she was exceptionally kind, friendly, and other-centered. I have a very special memory of Phyllis. Our community annually arranges a progressive dinner event to benefit Hospice of Stanley County. Dinners are prepared by our Club Chef and delivered to the homes of residents who volunteer to host the dinners.
Attendees are randomly assigned to these homes, which makes a lively mix of new and old friends. One year when my husband Don and I were a host home. Phyllis was one of our guests. She was engaging and interested in everyone. The next day my doorbell rang and a florist delivery truck was in my driveway. I opened the door to a man who handed me the most beautiful flower arrangement. I couldn't imagine who might have sent it, but the card told the story. It read: "Thank you for such a lovely evening for dinner with friends. Love, Phyllis Hughes." I can never forget this beautiful and thoughtful friend, Phyllis Hughes. She will be missed.
