Michael Ernest Hatley's Obituary
Michael ?Mike? Ernest Hatley, 67, of Stanfield passed away on Monday, January 18, 2020 at the Union County Hospice House in Monroe, NC. Due to Covid-19, the family will hold a private service at a later date.
Mike was born March 12, 1953 in Stanly County to the late Ernest Rufus Hatley and Gatha Mae Hatley. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed coaching baseball, and watching his favorite team the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Hatley had a special love for his family. His family was with him throughout his entire journey at the end and they visited him every single day.
Mr. Hatley is survived by his wife Catherine ?Cathy? Efird Hatley of the home; sons: Neal Hatley (Emily Bell) of Sandy, OR and Nicholas Hatley (Courtney) of Washington D.C.; sister: Reba Hatley Burleson (Phil) of Angier, NC; brother: Dana ?Perch? Sidney Hatley (Valerie) of Endy, NC; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
