Michael Edward Carrick's Obituary
Michael Edward Carrick passed away on August 29 at the age of 73.
Mike is survived by Brenda, loving wife of almost 55 years. Mike is lovingly remembered by his daughter Tonya Carrick Lea and husband Jeff of Richfield and grandchildren Jacob and Kassia; and great-grandchild Jacen; by his son Kevin Michael Carrick and wife Kathy of Hampstead, NC and grandchildren Brynn, Blaine and Brooke; and by his son Jamie Stephen Carrick and wife Jenny of Albemarle and grandchildren Tanner, Avery and Hannah.
Mike was born in Badin, NC on August 23, 1948. He graduated from North Stanly High School in 1966. He worked as an electrician for Alcoa Aluminum Company in Badin. Mike enjoyed talking about Jesus and sharing his faith, spending time with his family, and working on his farm.
The visitation will be held at Stanly Funeral Home, on Thursday, September 2 from 4:00 - 5:45 with a celebration of life service in Stanly Chapel to follow at 6:00 pm.
