Maurice Lee Huneycutt, 71, of Oakboro, NC, went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. His funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, February 26 at Big Lick Baptist Chu Read Obituary

Lora, so sorry to hear about Maurice. Heaven has called home a good man. Please know you and your family are in our prayers. Gary and I are here if you need anything. May God give you all peace and comfort.

We send our deepest sympathy to you all. Nothing ever prepares us for an untimely loss such as this. We enjoyed seeing Mr and Mrs Huneycutt always in the yard together keeping everything in order and beautiful. My daughter loves his "water spout" in the pond. When she would see him she would say, "There's the water spout man". Although they only met a couple of times, she had a place in her heart for him as her "water spout man".
Mrs. Huneycutt, please know that we are only down the street in Victoria Place and are here for you if you need ANYTHING. We will certainly miss him riding by our house in the golf cart, but certainly hope that you will be riding by this summer and stop in and visit with us.
