Loudine Burris Herrin's Obituary
Loudine Burris Herrin, 85, of Oakboro passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 in the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.? Her funeral service will be 2 PM Thursday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Bennett officiating and burial will follow in the church cemetery.? The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the burial.
Born May 14, 1930 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Samuel James Burris and Alma Lowder Burris and was a dental assistant.? She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.? Mrs. Herrin loved her Sunday School class at Pleasant Grove.? She loved to cook, especially Sunday dinner and enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Herrin was married to Clifford Arthur ?C.A? Herrin Jr. for 66 years.? Other survivors include children Jill Herrin Whitley (Dale) , Chris Herrin (Kimberly) and Shane Herrin all of Oakboro, grandchildren Wes Whitley of Oakboro, Stephanie Herrin-Huneycutt (Tony) of New London, and Quinton King, Jr. of Oakboro, brother Ted Burris of Albemarle, sister Ann Hopkins of Daytona Beach, FL, great-grandchildren Carson Barbee, William Huneycutt, Lauren Huneycutt, Blythe Whitley, and Braxton Whitley.
