Lewis Alvin Floyd's Obituary
Mr. Lewis A. Floyd, age 56, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Mountain Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Phil McLean and Reverend Ken Kistler. Interment will follow at Altan Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Mr. Floyd was born on November 10, 1957, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of the late Merritt Ed Floyd and Grace Crook Floyd.
Lewis was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Floyd and two brother-in-laws, Charles Ray Helms and Lem Aldridge.
He was a Human Resource Manager with various Union County Companies. He was also an avid Carolina Tarheel fan.
Mr. Floyd obtained his MBA from Wingate University.
Survivors include three sisters, Betty Aldridge of Monroe, Hazel Morris and husband, Randall, of Monroe, and Mary Helms of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Shirley Floyd of Monroe. There are numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday evening, February 1, 2014, at Davis Funeral Service, 1003 East Franklin Street.
