I just heard about Lewis this afternoon. I went to Wingate with him and always thought so much of him. I am so sorry for your loss.Mary
I also worked with Lewis at Revco back in the day. It is good to read the condolences and know he never lost his sense of humor and ability to make people laugh. I send my sympathy to the family, but to Lewis - keep them laughing 'til we get there!
I was most saddened to hear of Lewis' passing. I worked with him at Perfect Fit Industries for several years but have known him since the mid 1980's. He was a wonderful man, kind, caring, gentle of heart but also had a great since of humor. He will missed, he left us to soon.Love & Prayers to the Lewis' family.Kimberly Holmes
I did not know Lewis as long as many of you, but he made a big impact on me since early 2011. We met in some "unemployment classes" at SPCC and took several more classes together and encouraged each other over the years. We chatted on the phone a few times a month and emailed regularly, he always signed his emails "KEEP SMILING" and that always made me smile.....so I am smiling now through my tears but he always made me smile....RIP my friend, I will miss you but promise to "keep smiling" for you!
I worked with Lewis at Schrader-Bridgeport, Monroe. I am sorry for the family's loss he was a great guy. RIP Lewis.Kathy Arthur
I am so sorry for your loss. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death. Hope these words give you a new hope.
Betty, Hazel and Mary - Lewis and I worked together at (what was then) Revco when I was in high school. I always considered him to be "the gentle giant" and just a good 'ole all-around honorable guy. We reconnected via Facebook a few years ago and it was great to see that he still had that upbeat sense of humor!Praying that God will comfort your heart, uplift your spirit, and carry you an your family through this time of sadness to a place of peace. With deepest sympathy!
We send our most sincere sympathy to Lewis's family. Janet had the pleasure of working with Lewis for many years at Perfect Fit and later Nelson worked with him at Schrader and Janet again while she was working with a temp. agency at Schrader. Lewis enjoyed people and liked to keep them smiling. May he be richly blessed by his Heavenly Father and his family members who welcome him home.
RIP Stumpy!!!!!!
