Leonard ?Skip? Winter's Obituary
Mr. Leonard ?Skip? Winter,
age 60, a man of strong Christian faith, passed away on April 28, 2019. A
memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at
2 PM at New Hope Worship Center, Concord with Pastor Dale Jenkins
officiating.
Mr. Winter was born on December 30, 1958 in
North Tonawanda, NY to Leonard Winter and Edith Mascia. He was a member of Albemarle First Assembly
and was a master machinist with Magna Machining Company in Richfield, NC. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle
Association, a woodworker and could practically do anything. He was a good friend to many. Mr. Winter was a veteran of the US Marine
Corp with 7 years of service. He was a dedicated fisherman and loved his
family.
Mr. Winter is survived by his wife Elaine Winter and daughters Carina Craig, Rebecca Vuxta and Alyson Ziembiec all of North Tonawanda, NY and son, Christopher Sanders from Eugene, OR and sisters Lori Williams of VT, Lisa Hall of Tonawanda, NY and Amy King of Rochester, NY and beloved? nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pregnancy Resource Center of Stanly County, 124 E. North Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Winter Family.
