Kenneth Carl Murray's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dr. Kenneth Carl Murray, 79, of Monroe who passed away April 30, 2022 in the Union County Hospice House. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Jane McClain Murray of the home and son Stewart Murray of Charlotte as well as a brother, James Orval Murray.
Mr. Murray was predeceased by his parents, Rowe Perry Murray and Gertrude McCreary Murray and a sister Sara Joyce.
Dr. Murray was loved by so many. He has left a lasting impact at Wingate University where he was a professor of music for over 40 years. He was loved by many and will be missed by many.
His funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in the First Baptist Church of Monroe with Pastor Chris Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
