Katherine Parsons Cox's Obituary
Katherine Norma Jean Parsons Cox, 79, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 in her home with her loving daughters at her side. Her funeral service will be 2pm Thursday, July 15, 2021 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel with Caleb Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Garden of Memory with Caleb Collins officiating. The family will speak with friends prior to the service.
Mrs. Cox was born April 6, 1942 in Montgomery Country, to the late David Parsons and Lois Hughes Parsons. She worked with her husband's business, Lathan General Contractors, INC. She was a member of North Albemarle Baptist Church.
Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, Lathan G. Cox who passed on May 10, 2015. She is survived by two daughters, Angela Jean Collins (Brian) and Sherrie Ann Richards both of Albemarle, NC; a brother, Clement Parsons (Mae) of Albemarle, NC; three sisters, Sedina Bush (Jim) of Melbourn, FL, Vickie Edwards (Ray) of Advance, NC and Debbie Saunders (Phillip) of Ophir, NC; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
