I was saddened today to learn of Jonathan's passing. Jonathan and I grew up as kids together in Benson, where he lived across the street from my Aunt. We were lifeguard's together at Scott's Lake as teenagers, where we had the time of our lives. I'm pretty sure I was there when the Cowboy spirit was born in Jonathan and as a teenager he rode his first bull at Jerry Don McLamb's arena. My last conversation with Jonathan was at his Brother, Chris', funeral. That's when I realized Jonathan had also accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and we talked about how his Brother was where we all one day wanted to be and that our time here was only "temporary". Well, I now know that on November 13, 2015, God called my old friend home, and while we are sad that he's gone, remember, for those in Christ, it's only "temporary". Rest in God's care my friend, I'll see you soon.....
Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.
My thoughts n prayers are with the family n friends . He was a great cowboy for the Lord. Now he is healed from the bad cancer .He is a guardian cowboy angel that is watching over everyone. I love everyone n prayers for everyone thru this sorrow.

Obituary for Jonathan Parker he can now R.I.P. with God, serving God in whatever way his God asks of him, he gets to be adorned in beautiful wings and Halo and is now part of the Angel Choir! However best of all he is no longer fitting that demon, cancer, he is no longer in pain, he can breathe freely, he has been healed of all his earthly issues! He fought so courageously, he showed such bravery and his faith never wavered! He definitely fought like a Cowboy!
