I knew Jeff for 20+ years and lived with him several times during his "walk abouts" to Austin, TX. While I will certainly remember his musical savantness fondly and enviously, it was his heart, emotional depth, generosity, and loyalty I will remember most. He stood by me during some of my darkest times and showed me true unconditional love and support. He was was much more a brother to me than my own. The hole left by his passing is certainly equivalent to the amount of love I have for him and what a wonderful human being he was. While there are far too many amazing memories we had to share even a percentage, I will say that anytime I here M83, I will immediately think of him as he used to play it on my piano every morning to wake me up. It was one of our favorite inside jokes. I love and miss him so very much and I know I am one among so many, that is the truest testament to how great a soul he was.
