James and I were close friends when we attended pharmacy school together at UNC and I was particularly impressed with his determination to follow his dream of a college education and professional career. I was also especially proud of him for his continuing care of his elderly mother who moved to Chapel Hill and remained with him under his care during his pharmacy school years. We lost touch over the years but I continue to feel blessed by his friendship, his sense of humor and his strong sense of character. The world is better for James and he shall be missed.
