Jack Harley Faulkner's Obituary
Jack Harley Faulkner, 81, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday,
February 26, 2019 in CHS Stanly, Albemarle.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Friday, March 1,
2019 at 11 AM at West Albemarle Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Hatley
officiating. Burial will follow in the
Poplin?s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 AM in the Wiscassett
Room at West Albemarle Baptist Church prior to the service.
Born October 21, 1937 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the
late Clyde Clarence and Ollie Ridenhour Faulkner. He retired as a Lineman with Yadkin, Inc and
was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church since 1957. Jack loved his family. He was a 28-year veteran of the US Army
Reserve where he attained the rank of First Sargeant. He was also a member of Albemarle Lodge #703
A. F. & A. M., a member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the
Shrine. Jack served his community in
various roles including as a volunteer fireman with the South Side Volunteer
Fire Dept, a volunteer with the Stanly County Sheriff?s office under Ralph
McSwain and as a Boy Scout leader.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 year, Sylvia Jane Mauldin Faulkner, sons Jack Douglas Faulkner (Adina) of Fleetwood, NC and John Michael Faulkner of Albemarle, daughter Rhonda Faulkner Perkins of Johnson City, TN, brother Herman Darrell Faulkner of Albemarle and sister Colin Guidas of Pinehurst, NC, 6 grandchildren: Morgan F. Miller (Will), Cole Faulkner, Kyle Faulkner, Anna Perkins, Seth Faulkner and Jack Logan Faulkner and 6 great-grandchildren: Brody Faulkner, Elaina Anthony, Riley Anthony, Layla Boggs, Jackson Miller and Harper Miller.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Shriner?s
Children?s Hospital, 950 W Faris
Rd, Greenville, SC 29605.
