Guy Hammill of Richfield passed peacefully in the early hours of January 1, 2021 at Stanly Memorial Hospital. He was born August 10, 1930 in Badin NC to Eva Wagoner Hammill and Richard H. Hammill. Guy graduated with the Richfiel Read Obituary
All of us at Woodhaven Court loved this man. It was our privilege to take care of Louise. Guy will forever be remembered for his wonderful tomatoes that he brought to me every week from his garden. Brian, I am sure he will be missed by so many people. Such a kind soul.
Guy was such a kind and thoughtful neighbor and friend to our Crowell family. Incredibly talented, I remember vividly Guy's uncanny ability to repair and/or 'create' anything that required an "engineering brain". He will be sorely missed, and my condolences are with Guy's family at this time.
Guy Hammill was one of the nicest men that we ever met.
I can't even begin to tell you how much not only myself but all of us at Lulu's are going to miss Guy. He will always be remembered as our very own "SUNSHINE" and he will forever hold a bright place in all our hearts.
Guy Hammill was a good neighbor and friend to David, my husband who is now deceased, and I when we lived on the Richfield Millingport Road. He and David loved fishing and shared many fishing stories. Guy was a man that was behind the scenes for many community activities. His church and the community will miss things that Guy did.
Guy was a good friend and a very special person. Guy was faithful to his Church, the community and the Richfield VFW. He will truly be missed!
