The first time I met Gary was when Grandpa and Grandma lived on Church Street in Concord. Aunt Brenda brought him and I don’t think they were married yet. I was probably 10. All the men held court after lunch on the front porch. At first Gary was quiet, but after just a little while, he was telling stories like everybody else, making everyone laugh.
After that, I always looked forward to seeing Uncle Gary again, because I enjoyed his company and I knew we would laugh together. Unfortunately those times were too few. Even so, it was always obvious that he loved Brenda deeply and they enjoyed a great life together.
I treasure my Aunt Brenda and I am full of love and sorrow for her and Tammy and Amy and all the family.
Frances and I will be praying for you all.
Gary was my last living uncle.
