I saw a job opening in the Macon Telegraph for a Hydraulic Salesman... Im smarter than the average Bear.. So I decided to call the number and talk to the clean up guy after hours and find out about the Bossman.. Little did I know I was talking to Fred... He never let on... 2 weeks later he flew his rental plane to Dublin Ga... I saw him land in a crosswind ... get under the wind turn the plane at the last second... stick a perfect landing... Im Naval Aviation.. Flight Deck stuff... Coolest thing I ever saw in person... Took him to his Hotel.. He said pick me up we will go to Supper. Im a Redneck so I took him to a Micro Brewery... He was in a Blue Blazer with a Canary Yellow Monagramed shirt with FAB on the cuff... He reminded me of Jim West from the TV Show Wild Wild West... I knew I was out of my element. He ordered a Wild Turkey and a splash of water... Again... Amazing... I had a beer and ordered Chicken wings.. I was so Nervous that I was eating a Flat trid to twist the bones out... it shot across the table and hit him in the chest... He ordered a club soda to try an clean it to no avail. He said take me to my room.. im gonna Fly to South Ga in the morning and I terview another guy... I knew I screwed the pooch.. so we left.. Thank the Good Lord I was out of gas.. Had to stop at the gas station.. Don't know why I left the door open but I did.. Older black gentleman in a beat up Chevy truck next pump. I asked him where he went fishing found out asked him for his number and set a date to fish. Filled up got back in .. Fred says.. Im not going to hire nobody but you.. You got that guys history and made a friend. Im gonna train you what we do... You just make those friends with People that buy our products.. The rest is history as they say... He changed my life and my boys life.. All 3 College .. All amazing kids. Not possible without Fred's tutelage. The classiest Man I ever met.. But he was Humble ,Kind, Patient.. To say I Love Him is an Understatement. A big part of me is gone without him.. To his family especially Little Freddy... My heart breaks for yall.. Much Love and thanks for Sharing your Dad with Me.
