Edward Everette Talbert, 19, of Albemarle passed away on Dec. 7, 1941 in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii aboard the USS Oklahoma. He was the first casualty from NC in World War II. His remains were returned to Albemarle on March 23, 2022 and Read Obituary
