Don Mitchell Russell's Obituary
Don Mitchell Russell, 78, of Locust passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Atrium Cabarrus in Concord.
His funeral service will be 2 PM on Friday, April 16th, 2021 at Albemarle First Assembly with Pastor Bob Gruver officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Albemarle First Assembly on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born September 4, 1942 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the late Ben C. Russell and Elizabeth Burris Russell. He was a member of Albemarle First Assembly and was the owner and the operator of Rusco and Stanly Fixture. He loved farming and most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gina Russell, daughter Nelena Russell Beck and husband Phillip of Chiefland, FL, son Jeff Russell and wife Theresa of Norwood, and daughter Pollyanne Russell Rhodes and husband David of Wendell, NC, a brother Stephen Lyn Russell and wife Karen of Norwood, grandchildren: Sydney Beck, Logan Beck, Piper Beck, Mitchell Russell and wife Meredith, Masten Rhodes, Sarah Russell Rhodes and Leona Rhodes, and great-grandchildren Piper Beck and Emerson Russell, stepsons Sherman Greer of Banner Elk and Richard Greer and wife Christi of Lincolnton and step-grandsons Asher, Colt, and Andon and his adopted son Juan Carlos Jimenez and wife Rosy of Stanfield and his sons Elias, Johnny and Joel Jimenez.
