went for a haircut just today June 15, 2018 and found out of his passing I feel terrible he was a good man he cut my hair for 15 years I will miss him .
I just found out about Devoy. Has been a while since my last hair cut and I wish I could have seen him one last time. He and sometimes Sally cut my hair for 11 years. He will be missed and my condolences go out to Sally and the family.
I knew Dee as a friend and barber in Monroe for 18 years, He was a light in my life and someone I always respected, enjoyed visiting and being associated with. God Speed my dear friend. Went today and was shocked to see the flowers and note on door that Mr. Griffin has gone to be with God. He has been a special man to me, always so polite and had such a good sense of humor. He could not understand why I did not get my hair cut while on vacation. I simply told him I have never found another good barber. I am so very thankful for the times I had with Devoy. May the Peace of God be with the family.
Got the news today about Mr. Griffin. Got there to see flowers and note on door. He was a special man, always polite and had a good sense of humor. Loved talking about gardens and many other topics while cutting my hair the past decade. Peace to the family, we should be thankful for such a nice, honest and humble person in our life. Â
I went by for my haircut on Monday and was very sad to hear about Devoy. He was my barber and my friend for over twenty years. I will miss our talks. Praying for his family.
I am very sorry to hear of Devoy’s passing. I’ve known Devoy since moving to Union County in 1988. I recall with fondness talking with “Mr. Charlie†, Devoy and Sally for 30 years.
