Dennie Rose Staton Carpenter, age 88 took the hand of Jesus and ascended the stairway to heaven on May 31, 2016 at the Taylor House, Albemarle, NC.? Her service will be at 1:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Albemarle, NC with the Dr. Andy Jung officiating.? Burial will follow in the Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle, NC.?The family will receive friends at a reception in the church fellowship hall following the burial.
Mrs. Carpenter was born June 30, 1927 in Stanly County, NC to the late George?Cleveland Staton and Ruthie Mae Collins Staton.?? She was a faithful member of the?First Baptist Church.? She worked as a Pharmacy Technician at the Stanly County?Hospital for a number of years.
Mrs. Carpenter was married to the late Clegg Hall Carpenter who preceded her in death.?Also preceding her in death was a brother, Tommie Staton, sisters, Appolonia ?Bob? Underwood and Betty Rimer. ?Survivors include two sons; Clegg David Carpenter (Beth) of Southern Pines, NC, and Matt Staton Carpenter (Ginny) of High Point, N.C. and one daughter,?Kyle Keith Carpenter Lambert (Danny) of Albemarle, NC;? six grandchildren; Robert? Carpenter (Shannon), Will Carpenter (Tiffany) and great-grandson Hall; Courtney Niederer (Eric) and great-granddaughters Natalie and Ellie; Hollis Baker (Nick); Katie Carpenter (Matt) and great-grandsons, Hugh and Russ; and Daniel Lambert (Cassie) and great grandson Jack.? She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Carpenter's favorite color was pink and the family requests that those attending her service wear pink in her honor.
