Cynthia Phillips Estep's Obituary
Cynthia Phillips Estep, 61, of Locust passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Tuesday, July 18, at 2 PM at the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Locust with Pastor Tommy Ross officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Locust prior to the hour of the service.
Born April 20, 1962 in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Troy Arthur Phillips and Emma Olene Poindexter Phillips. She was a member of Locust First Baptist Church and was a receptionist with Sign Art of Charlotte. She enjoyed cooking and always made a beautiful Thanksgiving meal for her family. She also loved animals and loved to see them cared for. She and her husband taught kids Sunday School for many years.
Mrs. Estep is survived by her husband Joseph Earl Estep, son Aaron Michael Estep (Kayley Alexa Skantz) of Oakland, CA, brothers Troy Arthur Phillips III (Vivian) of Dundee, NY and Charles Timothy "Tim" Phillips (Linda) of Amelia, VA, and nieces Terri, Cathy and Diane and nephew Tim. A sister Wendie Phillips preceded her in death.
