Cory Jon Blackburn's Obituary
Mr. Cory Jon Blackburn, age 24, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, at CMC-Pineville.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Griffin Family Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Phil McLean and Dr. Derrill Smith.
Mr. Blackburn was born on March 26, 1992, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of Kelly Blackburn and the late Rebecca Lois Funderburk Blackburn, who passed away November 5, 2015.
Cory Jon was a structural mechanic.
Survivors include his father, Kelly Blackburn of Wingate, North Carolina; his grandmother, Lois M. Funderburk of Wingate, North Carolina; a sister, Tara Shane Strickland of Monroe,North Carolina.
The family would like to thank all the friends who have prayed for Cory Jon.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the cemetery.
