Carolyn Russell McLain's Obituary
Carolyn Russell McLain of Albemarle, NC, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, in the Trinity Place of Albemarle. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 8, 2016, in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle with the Rev. Raymond Sipe, Chaplain of Trinity Place, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the hour of the service.
Mrs. McLain was born February 23, 1930 in Cabarrus County, NC, to the late Union Reeves Russell and Ila Kimrey Russell and graduated from Badin High School. She was?a retired employee of South Central Oil Company and a member of Palestine United Methodist Church.
Mrs. McLain was married to the late Robert Glenn McLain, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1994. Survivors include one son, Robert G. (Glenn) McLain, Jr. of Santa Cruz, CA, three daughters, Cathy McLain Whitley of Albemarle, NC, Jill McLain of Snellville,?GA, and Beth McLain of Albemarle, NC, two grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Russell and Hermon Russell and a sister?Doris Yvonne Berry.
Memorials may be made to Palestine United Methodist Church, Stanly County Christian?Ministries or the Donor?s Choice.
