Carolyn Eudy Hatley's Obituary
Carolyn Beatrice Eudy Hatley, 87, of Albemarle passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 in the Taylor House. Her funeral service will be graveside at 3 PM on Monday, November 20, 2023 in the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Kevin Nowicki officiating. The family will receive friends at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church from 2 until 2:45 prior to the hour of the service.
Born July 18, 1936 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Eudy and Mary Efird Eudy. She attended Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church and was a seamstress with Austin Hosiery Mill. She loved attending the outings provided by the Taylor House, playing Bingo and gardening.
Mrs. Hatley was preceded in death by her husband Joe Billy Hatley in 2014. Survivors include son Michael Hatley of Concord, daughters Donna Phillips (Rodney) of China Grove, and Debbie Bost (Larry) of Norwood, sisters Doris Rowland, Nancy Huneycutt (Bob) and Faye Poplin all of Albemarle, six grandchildren Steven Bost (Melissa) of New London, Jeremy Bost of Norwood, Jonathan Phillips of Greensboro, NC, Jacob Phillips of Cape Coral, FL, Joseph Phillips of Rockwell, and Amber Wellman (Justin) of Davidson, and 2 great-grandchildren Cooper Bost and Slate Wellman. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Eudy and three sisters, Juanita Herrin, Betsy Jean Crayton and Kaye Huneycutt.
