Bonnie Stokes Shaver's Obituary
Bonnie Stokes Shaver, 97, of New London passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 in her home. Her funeral will be graveside at 2 PM on Monday, November 23, 2015 in the Kendall?s Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Christian Herring officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Born December 28, 1917 in Davidson County, NC, Mrs. Shaver was the daughter of the late C. T. ?Bob? Stokes and Mattie Chilton Stokes and was a retired sales clerk with Belk. She formerly worked at Efird?s Department Store and she was a member of Kendall?s Baptist Church.
She was married to the late Loy Frank Shaver. Survivors include son Donnie Shaver of New London, daughters Linda Diane Lamp of New London and Bonnie Susan Benbow of Atkinson, NC, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Two brothers Charles Stokes and Joe Stokes as well as a grandson Zachary Busey preceded her in death.
