Betty Morton File's Obituary
Betty Morton File, 74, of Albemarle, NC passed away on December 15, 2021 in
her home. Betty’s funeral service will be at Bethany United Methodist Church, Albemarle, NC on December 18, 2021 at 11:00 am with Reverend David Cochran officiating. She will lie in state from 10:00am – 10:45am. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the Bethany Fellowship Hall. Betty will be laid to rest at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
Betty was born in Oakboro, NC on April 30, 1947 to the late Watt Low Morton and Nannie Poplin Morton. She graduated from Albemarle Senior High School in 1965 and went on to earn a Bachelor Arts Degree from Stanly community college in 1997. She worked as Human Resource for Schult Homes.
Betty enjoyed time with good friends, day trips to vineyards and teahouses and watching Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.
Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Crystal Cox Watkins (Larry), grandchildren Jessica Morris (Dean), Kacie Weirich (Melvin) and David Watkins (Chrissie), her great- grandchildren, Jase Owen, Ashleigh and Ryan and her great-great-grandchild Colton, one sister Marlene Huneycutt and three nieces Deedy Hatley, Rhenda Huneycutt and Jerri Huneycutt and one nephew Rodney Huneycutt(Cathy) as well as great nephews and nieces.
