Archie Wayne Belk's Obituary
Mr. Archie Wayne Belk, age 78, of Monroe, NC, passed away Saturday, December 22, at Novant Matthews.
At Archie's request, a family graveside service was held at Altan Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Archie was born June 3, 1940 in Union County, NC, a son of the late Leo Everett Belk and Ella Lee Starnes Belk. Mr. Belk served our country through his service to the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his time in the Marines, Archie was self employed as a painting contractor. A dedicated member of Gideons International, Mr. Belk was a Gideon with all his heart and soul.
Archie is survived by his wife, Yaeko Higa Belk, a son, Anthony Belk and wife Debbie of Monroe, NC, a son, Jamie Belk and wife Melanie of Waxhaw, NC, of Monroe, NC. Survivors also include numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Archie was preceded in death by his four brothers, and a son, David Wayne Belk.
