Anthony William Torella's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Anthony William Torella, who departed this life on May 19, 2026, at the age of 21.
Born on November 22, 2004, in Matthews, NC, Anthony was the child of Dennis and Kathleen Torella. He graduated from Lloyd C. Bird High School in 2023.
Anthony served in the U.S. Army working as a PFC with the Airborne Artillery for 2 years. Beyond his professional life, Anthony loved to play video games, visit amusement parks, and spend time with his beloved family and pets. He will be deeply missed for his unwavering generosity, free spirit, and fierce passion.
He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Torella (Roland), father, Dennis Torella (Sharon), sisters, Samantha Torella (Joshua), Jessica Ward (Casey), grandparents, Everett and Judith Hamernik, nephew Aiden Dixon, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert “Maxwell” and Kathleen Smart.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date this year.
Family, friends, and those whose lives Anthony touched are invited to attend.
