My favorite memory is when Alex was very little, he would always ask me to marry him.
Alex was the sweetest little boy. He always aimed to please. Whenever I couldn't find something in the house, he always knew where things were. All I had to do was ask him. He had a confidence about him; my nicknames for him were El Capitan or El Jefe. Once we were at a church Christmas party, and he said his favorite song was, I believe I can fly by R. Kelly. Someone asked if he would sing it. I didn't think he would. But he did! It was so sweet. He has reached the sky! I'll see you again one day! I love you!
He was always our photographer. He would remember exactly how we liked our food at 200. He had a beautiful smile. He was so kind.
I am so sad I won’t get to hear him say “I tried so hard” making fun of me at Christmas Eve anymore. It always made me laugh.
