Bill Gabriel
Drew, Kelly & Jennifer so sorry to hear the passing of Aunt Zona, she was an amazing person so full of faith, love and caring. I have a very special memory of Aunt Zona that I would like to share with you, mind you I have never really spoken of this to anyone but has been a lasting memory for me. At the time I was only 8 or 9 years old living in a not so good part of Saginaw. My Mom was a single mother of 5 trying to make ends meet and just put food on the table. It was a struggle and I would often hear my Mom crying and I assumed it was due in part to our living conditions. Now I don't remember much if anything back at that age but what has been burned into my memory was that of Aunt Zona showing up what I'm guessing was at least once a month with a trunk full of groceries and such for our family. I can to this day close my eyes and see her pulling up in our driveway. Her generosity, caring and love of family has had a lasting impact on my life. We all were so blessed to have her in our lives especially this young boy who will always remember how special his Aunt Zona was. RIP, love you!!! Bill
