Willie Edward Byrum's Obituary
Mr. Willie Edward Byrum, age 76, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at his residence.
Graveside Services to celebrate the life of Willie Byrum will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Friendly Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Dustin Knight. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall. A pre-service viewing will take place from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM in the sanctuary.
Mr. Byrum was born on November 19, 1938, in Union County, NC, a son of the late Willie Willard Byrum and Lillie Jane Price.
He was a truck driver.
Mr. Byrum was preceded in death by his wife Mable Josephine Phifer, a son Rodney Byrum, a sister Dianne Gerald, and a grandson Billy Spence.
Survivors include two sons Jeffery Byrum (Doris) of Monroe,and Frankie Byrum also of Monroe; one daughter Robin Hogan (Randy) of Monroe; one step daughter Terry Starnes (Jimmy) of Monroe; five brothers Kenneth Byrum (Linda) of Matthews, Larry Byrum (Rita) of Charlotte, Dennis Byrum (Louise) of Monroe, Douglas Byrum of Marshville, Michael Byrum (Susan) of Waxhaw; two sisters Lynda Benton of Indian Trail, and Sylvia Broadway (Bill) of Monroe; there are ten grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
