Rev. William Sid Martin, 76, of Mint Hill passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in his home surrounded by his family. His funeral service will be on Sunday at 3 PM at First Baptist Church of Locust with Pastor Tab Whitley and Read Obituary
Such a humble man with a sweet spirit. I will never forget the love and dedication they so freely gave while ministering at Grace Baptist Church. Prayers for Marsha and his family that they find peace and comfort in God’s promises for eternal perfection!
I remember bhim from West Stanly. I graduated in 1978. I read this online and suddenly I remembered him. I didn't have him as a teacher in school but everywhere I saw him he was always smiling and had a bunch of students following him around. I'm so sorry for your great loss. I had no ideal he had been a Pastor. It all makes sense now,he was God's kid. He was always happy.May God warm your heart with memories of him. We called him coach Did Martin. Rip Coach. Karen Yow M. I best remember him from West Stanly High School and specifically the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was one of the kindest, warmest people I ever met and my time spent in the FCA was one of the most loving experiences I ever had. My deepest condolences to the family.

Marsha and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Martin’s passing. I was in his biology class at West Stanly. He was/ is my favorite teacher. He was a godly man, who loved Jesus and his family. I will be praying for you in the days to come. Loved Mr. Martin. RIP

Dear Marsha and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with y'all and proud of how you all served him all these years! I'm so sorry I will not be able to attend because I will be preaching a funeral for a friend in Rockingham at the same time Sunday. I thank God for Sid and for his friendship over the years. He was a joy to be around and someone who was a true friend to me and Darlene! I know you will miss him but he has received his reward and enjoying every minute of it!
