William "Andrew" Kimrey's Obituary
William “Andrew” Kimrey, 34, of Albemarle passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Atrium Health-Main in Charlotte, NC. His funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Bethel Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Rinehardt. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care-Albemarle. Burial will be at a later date.
Born May 31, 1990, in Cabarrus County, NC, Andrew was the son of William “Jay” Jerry Kimrey, II, of New London, NC, and Mary Lewis Mills Kimrey of Salisbury, NC.
Andrew was a carpenter and worked closely with Eddy McDaniel. He loved his boys and family. He loved doing things to help others, never expecting anything in return. His interests included knives, guns (and shooting them), motorcycles, and teaching his sons to ride them.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Abby Thompson Kimrey of the home; sons William Eli Kimrey (8), Jeremiah Andrew Kimrey (5), and Ellison Andrew Kimrey (3), all of the home; brother Tyler Kimrey (Gabby) of Oakboro, NC; sister Hannah Phillipy (John) of Norwood, NC; paternal grandmother Doris Kimrey of New London, NC; maternal grandmother Ivonia Mills of Badin, NC; mother- and father-in-law Micki and Ashley Thompson of Albemarle, NC
