Mr. William Henry Curlee, age 75, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at his residence. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Davis Read Obituary

William was a gentle giant. I enjoyed so much the trips to the Southern Conference Basketball Tournament games. He would always invite me on his side trips to local attractions and Mom & Pop restaurants featuring home cooking. And I especially loved it when I was driving and William sat in the front seat and never complained about anything I did. On the other hand, David would be a backseat driver, and William would say, "I think she's doing pretty good myself." Or if David and I would get into a spat because David was giving me a hard time, William would just say, "Now, now, ya'll." I know David will miss having his sidekick to talk over old times with. They were quite a pair! Rest in peace, William. You deserve it.
So sorry for your loss. William was a kind and loving man and was really good to us when we were young. I know you will truly miss him. May God bless and comfort you all during this time of sorrow.
