Willa Dean Shaw Lowder, 88, of Albemarle passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 in the Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis.? Her funeral service will be 2 PM Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Combs and Rev. Jim Yow officiating.? Burial will follow in the church cemetery.? The family will receive friends on Friday evening at Stanly Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM.
Born August 3, 1927 in Davidson County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Wade Shaw and Ora Florence Allred and was a retired seamstress.? Mrs. Lowder was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was a member of Circle #2.? She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Mrs. Lowder is survived by her husband Lavaughn Lowder of the home.? Other survivors include daughter Sharon Lavonne Lowder of Albemarle, son Michael Wren Lowder and wife Brenda of Johnson City, TN and grandson Matthew Wren Lowder.? Mrs. Lowder was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
