Wesley Eugene Poplin's Obituary
Wesley Eugene Poplin, 24, of Albemarle passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016.? A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 11 AM Tuesday in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin McCormack officiating.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home immediately following the service.
Born August 16, 1991 in Cabarrus County, NC, he was the son of Phyllis Eudy Poplin of New London and the late Timmy Eugene Poplin.? He was a logger and saw mill operator.? Wes was a Christian and he enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Sara Clodfelter Poplin of the home and sister Hailey Marie Calloway and husband Dustin, father-in-law Chris Clodfelter, mother-in-law Bobbie Clodfelter, sister-in-law Sydnie Kidd and husband Nick, three nieces and a nephew.
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor?s choice with special request that giving to charities benefiting children be encouraged.
