Wayne Clinton Almond's Obituary
Wayne Clinton Almond. 83, of Albemarle went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 21st, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was one of 12 children born to the late Adam Pearson and Carrie Barbee Almond. Mr. Almond is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jahala Almond of the home. They had four children; Randy Wayne Almond, Russell Mark Almond, Kim Almond Shuster (Tim) and Angela Almond Tucker (Barry). Also surviving are grandchildren Randall, (Brandi), Jessica, (Jon), Nathen, (Beth), Corey, Hannah, Madeline, (Artyom), Emily, (Matthew), Camden, and also 13 great-grandchildren.`
He was the brother of the late Sid Almond, Bob Almond, Betty Drye and Jean Drye. He is survived by Jimmy Almond and Brenda Carpenter.
Mr. Almond worked as a plant manager and maintenance technician at B and D Prints. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. After his retirement he enjoyed working outdoors in his garden, camping with family, and restoring antique tractors. He also loved to travel with his family and friends. In the summer months he enjoyed swimming with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Almond was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He had given his life to the Lord and trusted in Him through everything.

Mr. Almond's celebration of life will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Shad Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2:45 PM prior to the service.
