Walter "Kent" Davis' Obituary
Mr. Walter Kenneth ?Kent? Davis, age 79 of Albemarle, N.C. passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in the Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, N.C.? His service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Albemarle Wesleyan Church with the Rev. James Valk and Rev. Ronald Thompson officiating.? Burial will be in the Stanly Gardens of Memory.? The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.
Mr. Davis was born January 14, 1936 in Stanly County, N.C. to the late Lewis and Maude Mauldin Davis.? He was a graduate of Albemarle High School and member of
the Albemarle Wesleyan Church.? Mr. Davis was a retired employee of Alcoa with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Wesleyan Men?s Prayer Group, US Army National Guard and he loved his grandchildren.
Mr. Davis was married to Shirley Eudy Davis of the home. Other survivors includea son, Kenny Davis (Angie) of Albemarle, N.C., two daughters, Crystal Garner (Bill)?of Asheboro, N.C. and Susan Davis Burns of Chattanooga, TN, one brother, Doug Davisof Albemarle, N.C. two sisters, Sylvia Eudy and Joyce Thompson both of Albemarle, N.C.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
