Wade Hatley's Obituary
Wade Hatley, 74, of Weaverville, NC, went to see the Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Carepartners Hospice & Palliative Care Services, Buncombe County, NC. His funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel of Albemarle with Rev. Ron Loflin officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Mr. Hatley was born November 13, 1947 in Stanly County, NC to the late Dorothy Mae Hatley. He graduated from Albemarle High School with the class of 1966 and served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Wade retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections as Assistant Superintendent at Craggy Mountain.
Wade is survived by a stepson, David Honeycutt (Nina); two sisters, Frankie Palmer and Annie Barringer (Willy); a brother, David Hatley (Judy); granddaughter, Hailey Etter and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia R. Hatley, a daughter, Celia Polk, a brother, Melvin Hatley and a sister, Jeanette H. Isenhour.
