Veronica Lynn Harvey's Obituary
Veronica Lynn Harvey, 50, of Albemarle, passed away unexpectedly on Friday evening, June 12, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle.
Veronica was born on December 2, 1975, in Ohio, and was raised by her parents, Hank and Grace Landon.
She is survived by her children, Alan Wayne Harvey, Jade Elizabeth Harvey, and Anthony Samuel Walker; her parents; her brother, Chad Downing (Tammie); her granddaughter, Gracie; and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory and miss her deeply.
In addition to her brother, Samuel David Downing, Veronica was preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed her into eternal rest.
Veronica was known for her generous heart and selfless spirit. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need and consistently placed the needs of others before her own. She faced life's challenges with determination and resilience, never giving up in the face of adversity. In recent years, Veronica turned her life in a positive direction and found lasting comfort and strength through her faith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 1506 Highway 24/27 West, Albemarle, NC 28001.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time. Veronica's memory will forever be treasured by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
