Tommy Joe Burris' Obituary
Tommy Joe Burris, 62, of Albemarle, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Atrium Health Stanly. A Funeral service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Albemarle officiated by his son Tyler Joe Burris and Rev. Michael Greer. Visitation will be held prior from 1-3PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Burris was born June 24, 1958 in Stanly County to the late Bobby Joe Burris and Peggy Ritchie Bagwell. Tommy enjoyed watching football, spending time with family, and grilling out with friends and family.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 11 years Pamela Bagwell Burris of Albemarle; sons: Tyler Joe Burris of Albemarle, Toby Joe Burris of Albemarle; daughters: Madison Nicole Burris of Albemarle, Angel Dionne Burris of Florida; grandchildren: Shy Burris, Shae Burris, Tristan, Blayze, and Nathan Scott; stepdaughter: Macy Mullis (Landon) of New London; and stepson: Travis Scott (Brooke) of Oakboro. He was preceded in death by his sister Libby Efird.
