Thomas Warren Shaver's Obituary
Thomas
(Tommy) Shaver died at Tucker Hospice House on December 24, 2019 after a short
fight with cancer. He was 81. The family will be receiving friends Friday,
December 27 at Wil-Mar Park Baptist Church in Concord from 6 PM to 8 PM. His
funeral will be Saturday, December 28 at Wil-Mar Park Baptist Church at 2 PM.
The burial will follow the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.
Tommy was
born November 23, 1938, in Albemarle NC to Robert ?June? Shaver and Irene
Vickers Shaver. He was a graduate of Albemarle High School class of 1955 and
attended NC State College.
He married
the love of his life, Frances ?Kaleen? Shaver In 1963. Tommy and Kaleen moved
to Eastern Cabarrus County where they have resided for 56 wonderful years.
Tommy served in the Air National Guard from 1960-1966.
Tommy was a
Godly man and received the Lord as his Savior in 1965. He continued to walk his
Christian Journey until his death, always showing love in action to his many
family members and friends.
Tommy Shaver
was the best husband, Daddy, and Granddaddy that a family could ask for. God
and family were his priorities. Tommy is
survived by his wife of 56 years, Kaleen Shaver, daughter Lori Shaver Love
(Chuck), son Thomas ?Ryan? Shaver (Brandy), grandchildren Adam Herrin, Andrew
Herrin, Noah Shaver, Dalton Shaver, and Adam Love. He loved his extended family
and in-laws and enjoyed many happy times with them.
He enjoyed
the outdoors, birdwatching, classic cars, antiquing, and genealogy. Tommy Shaver never met a stranger and will be
missed by all. We celebrate God?s promise that we will see him again in Heaven.
In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to the Pink Pals Breast Cancer Support Group in
honor of his daughter at F&M Bank 635 Church St. N Concord, NC 28025;
Attention Lisa Cline; or to Wil-Mar Park Baptist Church at 584 Wilmar St. Concord,
NC 28025.
