Gilbert Rogers, 77, of Albemarle, passed away on Saturday, March 02, 2019 at Stanly
Manor in Albemarle. A funeral service for Mr. Rogers will be held at 11:00AM on
Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in
Albemarle officiated by Rev. Lowell Brown, Rev. Mark Little, and Rev Monty
Clark. Burial will follow at Aquadale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from
6-8PM on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in
Albemarle.
Born September
27, 1941 in Stanly County, Thomas was the son of the late Gilbert Rogers and Julia
Smith Huneycutt. He was an employee of
Carolina Solite for 28 years and he retired with Presnell Insulation in Midland.
Mr. Rogers was a member at Union Grove Baptist Church.
Thomas is survived by his sons Tony Scott Rogers and wife Donna, Glenn Rogers and wife Mika of Albemarle; daughter Carla Rogers Tucker and husband David of Albemarle; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother John Rogers of Albemarle. Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Kay Rogers and his step-sister Betty Sue Little.
